Just recently visited the PODS location to drop off personal items to load into my container. I was greeted by both Dalvin and Riley. They were personable and assisted me with my container needs. I didn't know what to expect at a PODS location as this was my first visiting one. Very professional gentlemen. A very positive, stress-free moving experience.

Don't count on your POD arriving at the expected time. They select, without any input from you, a three-hour drop-off window the night before your delivery and they are still incapable of delivering on time. Then when they arrive late, they don't even acknowledge the inconvenience to you.
In our case we had to first move our stuff to the street (see photo) and pay our movers (who arrived on time) extra because the initial delivery arrived an hour after the three-hour window. The second delivery arrived 1.5 hours after the three-hour window, but fortunately we weren't counting on them at that point.
Also, scheduling pick up and transportation dates was a nightmare. Some things could be scheduled fairly easily online. However, scheduling transportation between warehouses required a phone call. For unexplained reasons, it took 3-4 long phone calls for my preferred date to to be saved in the system.
Will explore other options for next move.

I had 2 8x16 pods to move from Maryland to Florida and the pick and delivery process went very smoothly. The units were both nice and most importantly, weatherproof. I loaded the PODs pretty heavily and they had no problems picking them up and delivering them.
It seemed a little pricey, but when I ran the numbers and considered the convenience it was the best value for my situation since we were first thinning out our processions to show and sell the house, then ultimately moving.

From start to finish, which included many changes of my moving dates, PODS provided outstanding customer service. I loved the flexibility of moving dates and the fact that my original quote never changed even though my move happened during the extremely busy moving season. I opted for a self-pickup of my POD and there was no charge - an unexpected and greatly appreciated bonus. Thank you PODS for facilitating my cross-country move. 🙂

The best thing about my PODS experience was when we picked up our items and knew we'd never have to deal with PODS again. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! We received a damaged container (roof damage noted after we packed) and the only option provided was for us to repack into a new container. After 5+ calls to customer service it was not resolved and we just crossed our fingers and hoped our stuff wouldn't be too damaged. Then the driver refused to deliver the PODS to our new house and the option was a $549 delivery. We instead rented a truck to pick up the items ourselves and that was a million times better than dealing with PODS. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I agree with other reviewers that 1 star is a generous score and 0 would be much more appropriate.
