From the minute I walked in the door, I was blown away by the excellent customer service delivered by receptionist Janet, who patiently explained membership options and provided a tour of the new facility. The owner, Jose, personally took the time to sit down with me to discuss personal training options, as I am new to the gym. My trainer, T, exceeded expectations as well and worked with me to develop a nutrition strategy to achieve my fitness goals I highly recommend this facility to anyone interested in an affordable , high quality gym. The staff is caring and the gym boasts updated equipment and even a sauna room for a very cheap rate compared to other gyms.
Has most of what you need out of a gym. Don’t know how one area isn’t open to all. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Gym etiquette is pretty terrible here, not the gyms fault. Definitely can use some improvements.
Love this gym!!! Love the atmosphere , cleanliness and staff. Everyone is helpful and make you feel at home. Machines are always accesible and if broken they are fixed fast! They also update machines pretty often.The sauna is always a plus !
I've known about this gym for years now .. and recently moved to the area and decided to join. Let me just say this is not the fitness evolution that existed before. It has gotten a complete makeover. I will say i am use to more spacious gyms like la fitness but you can truly get a lot out of this small gym. Their equipment for legs no other gym in the laurel area can touch or come close to in my opinion. I will say a tiny downside is only time you really feel the size of the gym is when you go after 5 pm during the week like any gym thats prime gym time so i highly suggest going early in the morning to afternoon.
Unprofessionalism is unmatched… I started a membership with this gym well before the pandemic started and like a lot of others, I never went. That’s on me. I continued to pay the monthly membership fee with no issue as there was a contract signed. During the time the gym was closed after COVID hit, the gym stopped charging as members were unable to visit. After being closed and not charging for MONTHS, the gym reopens and beings charging fees again without warning, and I no longer living in the area immediately reached out to cancel my membership. They first told me there was “no option” to not charge my card although they had clearly made that choice during prior months. During the same call when asking about canceling the membership, I was told I had to physically come in the gym and sign papers, which was going to be too difficult given my new location. I advised I had moved and was then given the option to have someone else (not on the contract) who lived in the area to come in and sign the papers for me, which was not an option for myself so I was told a manger named Nicole would call me, but I never heard from her. I tried monitoring my account to make sure I could prevent future charges and because the gym charges membership fees on random days, that didn’t work. Ultimately, I had to call my bank and block the gym from future transactions because they refused to provide reasonable options on canceling a membership that was NEVER USED! Looking at the account confirmed I had never as much as used a treadmill in the establishment, asking me to have a friend forge my signature was just unprofessional on so many levels, and the determination to continue to charge my card after 2 years for an unused membership was just absurd. I have never experienced this level of desperation with a business before and with a lesson learned, I hope I never deal with this again. Jose and his staff seem to know a lot about fitness but not customer service.
