So I’m not vegan but I’m lactose intolerant and I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate. The chicken filet tasted like chicken. The mac and cheese was creamy, seasoned, and didn’t have the weird after taste of other dairy free cheeses. The cheesecake was sweet and creamy and I was impressed. It’s definitely a takeout spot so expect to get your food and leave or enjoy it in the car because there’s no where to sit. Other than that the food is bomb!

It's a chill hole in the wall. That's why I thought the food would be good but it was very underwhelming. It was my first time having vegan food. I asked the staff for suggestions. It was right when they opened, so maybe she wasn't ready for people, but she seemed like she didn't want to be there. I ordered what she suggested were most popular. I had the original Mac n cheese, which I didn't like at all. I had the collard greens, which were ok. The cinnamon bun was hard and needed to be warmed up. I had the teriyaki or sweet chicken wings. They were good I think, I don't have anything to compare to. But the only thing I would come back to this location for was the blueberry creme cake slice... it was heavenly. Oh, and the variety of juices was enticing. I had the green power one and it was pretty good and authentic. I wouldn't mind trying the others.

Absolutely delicious. Flavors and textures were all on point. Lots of variety to choose from. Many veggie options. Great people and great pricing too!! 10/10 highly recommended.

I love supporting an awesome Black-owned business such as ELife 🌱and with them being in business 27+ years you know they are doing a few things right!
Their pumpkin bread is 💣 and so delectable (even as a food demonstration when I had it!)
They offer so much as a restaurant, pop-up shop for black-owned businesses on weekends, perform food demos, host speaker events, and more 🎆.
Being a Sierra Club member we try to branch out and partner with organizations whenever possible. I recently went to the event with a food demo by Elife and a speaker talk by Sierra Club MA staff. It was epic!
I love the food I bought there recently, the jambalaya, cashew mac n cheese, and chickpeas 😍. Their paper menus they post are the current menus/food items they have (not sure if for all the restaurants, but it is for the Capitol Heights location.) Their black board standing menu at the front there is outdated.
Next time I go, I want to check out more of the salad bar 👀. Cheers!

This place never ever disappoints. The food is so fresh and so delicious. I got catering from their Thanksgiving menu.
