I am a commercial HVAC professional, but I did residential heating and air conditioning, and from first to last conversation the entire process was exactly how I would have done it. I had a difficult furnace replacement in the crawlspace of my 1942 home. I already knew it was unrepairable and needed to be replaced. They came on time, listened to my concerns, was able to give me options that fit my budget, and a good ballpark for future work. The work involved finding and cutting an access door to pull the old one up through the floor from the crawlspace below. They made good work out of a difficult project.

The company seems dishonest. I called to see if they service split heat pumps and gave the brand. The lady said they did, price was $120 to come out and tech would tell me what the cost would be after diagnoses. I told them the system was also under warranty. I was an open book.
1) When tech arrives, he tells me he's not experienced with these systems. He was friendly and professional and worked hard to get me a resolution. But why send an inexperienced tech? He spent a couple of hours with tech support and possibly due to his inexperience ended the call before the problem was solved. He tried to blame my problem on remotes and their location. I had to go back and point out that the problem still persisted after remote locations changed and he reluctantly agreed. Had to waste more time on hold calling back tech support. He eventually got the manufacture to send parts.
Without warning he tells me the cost will be over $700. Why am I paying for wasting time calling a second time, smoking cigs and chit chatting? That should be on him.
2) I called the office and and explained all this and pretty much I got a "there's nothing we can do". They tried to give mea $120 credit for future but eventually I got them to knock off $120. At no point did anyone give me a heads up or a clue about cost. Why are you keeping it a secret that you rate is $260/hr?
3) Right in front of me, after I paid, tech called his boss and they had a disagreement about my price. Tech insisted it was over $700 and his boss was telling him total price for me should be minus the $120 fee making it around $600. So really, I didn't get any discount and of course at this point the tech wouldn't refund any money. Very unprofessional and a rip off. I wouldn't recommend this company.

When I say fantastic service. I mean it. They were quick and efficient. They offered me choices that would with within my budget and also the length in when I would receive them. Though there were hurdles in the way they completed and installed my AC and made my house livable again! I'm so impressed with the Service, the professionalism and respect they offered. Will definitely be a returning customer.

My sister had this company come out early April 2022 a week ago and they installed new water source heat pump. Installation came out okay and professionally done. However they did not install new T-stat neither did they offer to do so. I came to see unit and noticed same T-stat and immediately contacted my sister to have them come back out to install new T-Stat. They installed a 1990’s looking T-stat and when I asked Manager why they didn’t install digital T-stat he replied with smart tone saying she didn’t ask, I’ve never seen a professional company come install unit and do not change T-stat not even offering to upgrade is appalling. My sister payed out of pocket over $5,000 for water source heat pump and for them to try to get over on her has me irate if you decide to use this company be aware that they will get over on you.

We have used Beltsville Heating and A/C for the last 18+ years, and have always been completely satisfied. Although we miss our long-time technician, Alpha K., who recently retired, we recently replaced our furnace and A/C with Nick Vining, who was very responsive, professional and tidy. We highly recommend them!
